"Give a voice to those who do not have one", this is the mission of Elisabetta Franchi in recent years. Indeed, her commitment to the animal cause goes back to the launch of her autumn-winter 2012-2013 collection, where the Italian designer associated with LAV (Italian Anti-Vivisection League) and renounced the use of fur by adhering to the program "Fur Free Retail Program". In 2014, goose feathers and angora wool will follow. That same year, she continued her quest by building Island Dog Village, a refuge in northern China for dogs victims of the barbarism of the Yulin festival, where dog meat is celebrated every year. Last February, thanks to her many initiatives, she decided to create her own foundation, called the Elisabetta Franchi Foundation and recognized as a non-profit organization. The latter will now include all the actions undertaken by this fervent animal rights advocate and will realize the next projects. In addition to helping a number of kennels, one of its primary goals is to build an animal shelter in Forlì, Italy, by the end of 2019, which will house stray and abused dogs, look after them before finding them. new family. A story to follow through the prism of Instagram with the #fondazioneelisabettafranchi.
