For the Cruise 2020 Chanel show, the Grand Palais showed up practically distinct in contrast with a year ago's cruise on board a temporary ship "La Pausa." For this show, the first solo for Virginie Viard since Karl Lagerfeld's passing in February, the legendary space changed into a Beaux-Arts style train station planned as a "beginning stage for the extraordinary getaway," according to the show notes. “I found that all this open space–apart from showcasing the beauty of the Grand Palais’ structure–lent an exceptional focus on the clothes,” noted Paradis, muse and spokesperson of the house since 1991. Claudia Schiffer, Keira Knightley, Lily-Rose Depp, and Ali McGraw were among the invitees and the feedback was more than positive. With resolutely free and modern silhouettes, Karl Lagerfeld and Coco Chanel left behind them was paid due diligence. The next era of Chanel is definitely im good hands!
