Riccardo Tisci’s new collection for Burberry is Evolution, "inspired by our past and dedicated to our future, an evolution of the Burberry kingdom." he explained after the show. The designer wanted to pay tribute to founder Thomas Burberry, both an innovator and a romantic. Therefore, we saw lace, ruffled Victorian dresses, beige three-piece suits, very bourgeois tailors, printed scarves and trench coats, of course. To better anchor them in the future, Riccardo Tisci has adorned the costumes of fine sequined stripes, the dresses of a label "I am a unicorn" . This show was also the Burberry’s first ever carbon neutral show, and the brand shared on Instagram: "we have offset our impacts, such as the flights of guests traveling to London specifically for the show and the build and production of the event, through VSC-certified REDD+ projects which prevent deforestation and conserve tropical rainforest in the Brazilian Amazon."
