Gabriela Hearst: Chloé’s New Creative Director

Alongside being the creative director at her own namesake brand, the Uruguay-born, New York–based designer Gabriela Hearst, is the new creative director of Chloé. CEO Riccardo Bellini welcomed her in a statement. 

So, a new creative era begins at the French luxury house Chloé after the departure of Natasha Ramsay-Levi after 4 years, and Hearst is the one to proceed with the position. 

Gabriela Hearst is a women’s ready-to-wear and accessories designer who founded a namesake luxury label in 2015. With her focus on sharp tailoring, feminine cuts, casual elegance and most importantly sustainable textiles, her brand earned respect and love, and reached celebrities wardrobes.

She was named American Women’s Wear Designer of the Year at the 2019 CFDA Fashion Awards. At the same year, she held the first carbon-neutral fashion show in the industry, and the brand recorded around 24 million dollars as revenues. 

“I am grateful for an opportunity at such a beloved brand as Chloé. I am excited for the opportunity to work under the leadership of Riccardo Bellini and support him in his commitment to create a business that is socially conscious and in balance with our environment.” Hearst said in a statement.

Her brand’s success says a lot about her and puts high standards for the new Chloé image we are about to experience and we just can’t wait for the designer’s first collection next March.
