11 Fun and Colorful Summer Nail Art Designs For 2021

Now that the weather is beautiful and the sun is out, we are having more thoughts about the colorful nail art we’ve ben spotting all over Instagram recently. And yes, we’re going for it!

Our hands have been through a lot the last few months with all the washing and the sanitizing, so they surely deserve some pampering now. With the summer days already here, we are definitely giving our nails a fun makeover. Summertime vacation, fun, beach and going out, so we’re more on the daring side while choosing our summer manicure. Colors, prints, unique details are coming with us to the beach, where we will forget about stress and chill with friends and loved ones.

This summer, we are getting rid of the monochromes and we are going more into the graphic duets and rainbow compositions. The top nail polish colors this summer? Shades of blue, turquoise and green, but also lilac (very present in ready-to-wear collections) or even shades of orange, a change from the traditional coral we usually go for during summer times.  

The colorful French, a more discreet alternative

If you’re not so into the daring styles, you can go for a colored French manicure, less bold but just as interesting and trendy.

How to do it? Apply a nude nail polish as a base then with trace a colored contrasting line. To stand out a bit, the French effect can also be printed in a more graphic way with a game of asymmetry or rounding.

Finally, nail art lovers will add some floral details on a nail or two. Fruits (watermelon, lemon ...) are also in this season.
