Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad presented his Fall 2021/2022 Couture collection live in Paris to a small audience with a runway that sparked glamour, boldness and definitely romance and drama.
The Lebanese couturier, whose atelier and archive were destroyed by the August 4 Beirut blast, did not give up and kept blessing us with iconic creations.
His first Couture collection since the pandemic was a recreation of his best-of with daring and statement gowns featuring voluminous cuts, show-stopping details and full-glamour.
“I wanted to show it in a physical format as a celebration of renewal and hope. My clients almost demanded it. They want to enjoy life, go out again, buy new pieces and look beautiful, resuming a sense of luxe fastueux.” says Murad of the collection.
In the details, the majestic rose-filled courtyard was a fantasy of boldness. We saw black gowns featuring puffy shoulders and puffy trails, embellished turtlenecks, sexy and strong cut-outs, bold cuts of the chest, and lots and lots of shiny stones EVERYWHERE!

A palette of whites and off-whites merging into gold was also there. We loved the jewel tones of emerald, ruby, and sapphire, giving the proceedings a lively, eye-catching appeal and bringing luxe to each creation.

Venice, his ultimate inspiration with its beauty, its history and its magnificence mixed deeply with Middle Eastern aesthetics.
Briefly, the collection is full of beautiful details and the runway was a definite story of strong, splendid and amazing women.
