It is hard for live shows on TV to go without any mistakes. Viewers wait for the smallest mistakes to raise a controversy about anything on social media. This is what happened yesterday with Cyrine Abdel Nour while hosting her Ramadan TV show “Maakom bel Beit” with Ahmad Fahmi, as she had an awkward moment with Saudi star Dalia Mubarak, the guest of yesterday’s episode.
When Cyrine was welcoming Dalia on the show through a video call, she got confused and called her Diala by mistake. After realizing her mistake, Cyrine Abdel Nour corrected the name immediately.
However, Dalia Mubarak did the same while greeting her and called her Nisrine. An awkward uncomfortable moment prevailed, and we could see that on Cyrine’s face.
This moment raised controversy on social media; some people said that Cyrine didn’t do that on purpose, and that Dalia shouldn’t have replied in this way. While others said that Dalia was just joking with her.
In this regard, Dalia Mubarak went on Twitter to clarify things and to shut down this controversy, she tweeted:
“Some time we say things just to be funny and make people laugh, but we realize it was a useless joke and no need to have said that.”
