Sparkling Red Carpet Moments: Stars Are Shining With Glitter

With the holiday season fast approaching, celebrities have shined with the brightest looks on the red carpet. Sequins, glitter and rhinestones are the end-of-year stars.

Festivals, movie premieres, awards ceremonies ... What better way to attract camera lenses during this holiday season than a dress with thousands of metal sequins? A look back at the most sparkling red carpet looks.

As soon as night falls, dresses, jumpsuits, and even suit jackets are adorned with a thousand lights. Mariah Carey stunned in a maxi dress with gold and pearls, for her special show, "Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues" on December 3rd. Jennifer Lawrence, who is expecting her first child with husband Cooke Maroney, flaunted her baby bump in a gold fringed dress by Christian Dior for the New York premiere of Don’t Look Up: Cosmic Denial on December 5. The same evening, Scarlett Johansson had donned a backless dress with oversized gold sequins from Dolce & Gabbana to attend the Kennedy Center Honors gala.

With male celebrities, Lionel Messi and his three sons, Thiago, Mateo and Ciro, were all matchy-matchy in black sequin suits, for the 65th Ballon d'Or award ceremony on November 29 in Paris. At all times stealing the show!
