First Emirati series to join Netflix this September

Get ready for September, as a new Emirati series is on its way to be shown for the first time on Netflix so you can binge watch it next month. After the Saudi drama made its entrance at Netflix with “Whispers” and other Saudi series, it’s time for Emirati drama to make its debut on the world-leading entertaining platform.
On Thursday, September 3rd, 2020, Netflix will start showing the first Emirati series "The Platform." Emirati drama will go through this online experience, with being shown in parallel on Abu Dhabi TV.
The series revolves around embodies the conflicts of information warfare and the media that affect people’s daily lives. The Platform is written by Hosan Akko, directed by German Rodrigo Kishner, and produced by “Film Gate” in cooperation with the “word” company.
As for the actors, the Emirati series gathers many arab stars, including: Maxim Khalil, Mutasim Al-Nahar, Youssef Al-Kaabi, Mahira Abdel Aziz, and a special appearance for the American actor Dean Cain.
Producer Mansoor Al-Yabhouni Al Dhaheri confirmed that they are currently writing and filming the second and third seasons of the upcoming Emirati series, while the first season will be shown on Netflix and Abu Dhabi TV.
