How to wear makeup when it’s hot
Some changes must be made!

Usually, matte makeup can last all day long, but when it’s really hot outside, there is no way it is going to stay as it is. Just when you start sweating, your foundation is more likely to melt, your mascara will give you panda eyes and your lipstick will go in every way. Therefore, it is time to adapt your makeup to the hot weather. Two make-up artists gave us their tips to avoid any catastrophic result.
Opt for light formulas
It's 30 degrees outside! "The goal is not to melt!" comments makeup artist Marie Duhart, "You have to find the right textures and the right products, it's a matter of both beauty and comfort."
Fanny Maurer, International make-up artist for Kat Von D, adds: “With sweating, a creamy and oily foundation is not an ideal choice.” Instead, try a lightweight foundation or a BB cream as they are more suitable for summer. They can be applied all over the face, or "as a corrector", according to Fanny. You can also add loose mattifying powder on the T zone, if needed.
If you want to achieve optimal coverage, well it’s not the best option. In this case, Kat Von D MUA advises to "dab the product with a sponge on the skin, and leave less material there". To enhance your complexion and your looks, add a bit of bronzer, highlighter, blush (stick or powder), mascara and/or waterproof eyeliner.
Mattifying the face
When it comes to sweating, we think of mattifying everything, but Marie Duhart does not agree with that: “You have to look for a simple yet healthy look. When it’s hot, you need freshness and naturalness. You must give the skin and lips a hydrated and glowy look. " If the shine takes over too much, a few touch-ups with paper are enough, rather than taking powdering to the extreme.
As for the eyes makeup, the makeup expert warns: “Don’t use cream-based eye shadow, because it easily slides into the crease of the eyelid. As for the gloss, it can quickly become unpleasant and sticky." They should be avoided at the beach. No matter which makeup you choose, according to Marie Duhart the most important thing is to benefit from the sun to "go to a park and let your skin breathe... Without forgetting to protect it, of course.”
