Even the smallest things can trigger conflicts between married couples, including sharing the same bed at night.Couples who sleep in the same bedroom on the same bed are more likely to experience annoying disturbances from their partner such as snoring, bad hygiene, tossing and turning a lot during the night. Thus, sleeping next to your husband with disturbances might lead to conflicts and even sexual dysfunction.
A 2016 study from Paracelsus Medical University in Germany, showed that sleep issues and relationship problems tend to occur at the same time. Also, a 2013 study from the University of California found that if one spousehas had a sleepless night because of the disturbances caused by the partner, they are more likely to deal with marital conflicts the next day.
Therefore, separate beds can save your marriage! Some researchers found that women are more likely to be disturbed by a man’s presence in bed, because they are more sensitive towards their partner’s bad habits and hormonal changes or problems can cause them to want to sleep alone.
Many couples tried to sleep separately in different beds, and confirmed that they feel happier and more comfortable when sleeping alone. You can always be together in the same bed for cuddling or intercourse. However, when it comes to a good night sleep, it is better to sleep separately.
