In a collection that included a total of 28 looks, Saudi designer Mohammad Ashi presented his latest Haute Couture Fall/Winter Collection At La Monnaie de Paris During the Fashion Week in the French Capital.
For a dramatic poetic approach, Ashi chose to transport the guests darkened room with booming sounds, creating an other-worldly atmosphere for the avant-garde designs of his “Sculpted Clouds” collection.
Thi collection revolved around two aspects: the very defined silhouettes and the exquisite craftsmanship of the fabrics, beads and embroidery. As the show progressed, it became clear that each piece had different style and textures easily slipping between the hard and the soft, feminine and masculine. In a theatrical effect, guests witnessed beaded dresses with taffeta skirts and wrap coats with exaggerated proportions and shapes In a collection limited to just the tones of cream or black.
“My muse is the woman who is always searching. She embraces her fate, whatever it may be” Ashi said.
