During the haute couture Fall/Winter 2024-2025 Fashion Week, Dior hosted its show at the garden of Musée Rodin. In this new collection, Dior’s creative director, Maria Graza Chiuri, paid homage for athleticism mixing sportswear with haute couture by using jersey fabrics to create draped, asymmetric gowns.
Models made their way down in silk goddess gowns, flat gladiator sandals and flowing dresses, race-backed tops and embroidered bodysuits in front of colorful mosaics towering images of athletes in action, inspired by the artwork of American artist Faith Ringgold. Inspired by Ancient Greece, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, Dior’s 2024/25 Haute Couture Collection came as France is getting ready to host the summer Olympics.
