The heritage of Roberto Cavalli is known for its colors, prints and innovative techniques. The houses’s new Resort 2025 collection, created by Creative Director Fausto Puglisi, wanted to celebrate the house’s founder, who passed away in April, looking back at the early 2000’s, which were considered one of Cavalli’s most successful eras.
Puglisi’s love for everything Western, was clear in collection through cowboy boots and hats: this season’s must-haves. He also insisted on reflecting the brand’s expertise in denim manipulation, by printing on wide-legged jeans.
Animal motifs such as zebra stripes and leopard spots were also applied on the collections’s pieces using different techniques spanning from the palpable 3D jacquards of trench coats and tuxedos to the vibrant prints on silk shirts and the devoré effects on the sensual to long dresses that included fluid bias cut slip dresses in red and pink palette.
