Thirty-one years after her death, Audrey Hepburn still inspires many Hollywood actresses and although few icons hold her timeless allure, American actress Lilly Collins did not fail to pay Audrey a beautiful tribute with her latest bold look.
The actress who plays the popular Emily Cooper in the Netflix series Emily in Paris, teamed up with Harris Reed, the creative director at Nina Ricci, creating the most striking fashion moment of the show’s fourth season.
In the masquerade ball scene, Lilly attended with black and white striped fitted jumpsuit, voluminous skir and gigantic hat, it is heavily inspired by the Givenchy dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady. The remarkable outfit pays homage to Hepburn’s legacy while making a bold fashion statement and highlighting the influence of Hepburn’s fashion sense.
"Without a doubt, my favorite costume of season four," Lilly explained on her Instagram account. "Every detail was so deliberate, inspired, and perfectly Emily."

However, this was not the only Audrey Hepburn reference in this season. In one of the episodes, Emily Cooper goes skiing and costume designer Marylin Fitoussi wanted to capitalise on Collins's resemblance to the Breakfast at Tiffany's icon. So, they recreated Hepburn's ski look from the 1963 film Charade, with black faux fur garments and a pair of oversized Pierre Marly sunglasses, which they managed to obtain a copy from as the original eye-wear piece is on display at the Musée de la Lunette in Morez, France.
