A Stroll Through a Garden of Dreams: Dior Fall/Winter 2027 at Paris Fashion Week

For his second women’s ready-to-wear collection as artistic director, Jonathan Anderson unveiled his vibrant inspiration for Fall–Winter 2026–2027 at Christian Dior. The invitation to the show? Two miniature green chairs, replicas of the iconic seats that have furnished the Jardin des Tuileries since their creation in 1923.. This season, guests were invited to an open-air runway show built around a large pond, adorned with blooming water lilies.

 The Story Behind the Collection

After shows held in the salons of Avenue Montaigne or the Cour Carrée du Louvre, the Dior ready-to-wear runway has taken place for the past decade in this Parisian space bordering Place de la Concorde.

Jonathan Anderson has a particular fondness for garden strolls—moments when people dress in a specific way for a promenade. The British designer offers his own vision of Paris, a city where he says he still feels “like a tourist,” adding that he is “always obsessed with those chairs that immediately tell you where you are in the city.”

He shared this thought in the show’s teaser video on the brand’s website, presented as an outdoor conversation with designer Bella Freud—great-granddaughter of Sigmund Freud and daughter of painter Lucian Freud. In the clip, she interviews Anderson in the style of her filmed podcast Fashion Neurosis.

The Standout Piece

An iconic piece of the house, the Bar jacket played with materials and lengths—appearing as a coat with satin lapels, a mid-length Prince of Wales version, or a short taupe-gray shearling design.

The Fall–Winter collection also showcased an exquisite selection of silhouettes that were both feminine and contemporary, meticulously crafted, such as pink brocade dresses or immaculate white plumetis creations.

For next season, looks include a fitted cropped jacket paired with a balloon mini skirt with a train, as well as a brocade frock coat worn over jewel-embellished trousers. Another highlight is a striking khaki shearling peplum jacket designed to face the cold while maintaining extraordinary elegance. Or, once again, the Bar jacket—this time shortened and lined with ruffles—worn over light denim jeans.

The Prestigious Front Row

Whether in fashion or cinema, the world turns out for Dior. Among the attendees were Robert Aramayo, recently named Best Actor at the BAFTA Awards ahead of Leonardo DiCaprio, as well as celebrated filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar.

Also spotted were Paul Anthony Kelly, who portrays John F. Kennedy Jr. in Love Story, alongside Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlize Theron, Ever Anderson, Camille Cottin, Deva Cassel, Laetitia Casta, and Mélanie Thierry.
