MARIA GRAZIA CHIURI IS THE NEW ARTISTIC DIRECTOR AT DIOR
We can't wait for her first fashion show!
9-July-2016

Yesterday, it was confirmed that Maria Grazia Chiuri, Valentino’s co-creative director since 2008, will be replacing Raf Simons who departed Dior in October 2015. Next week, Chiuri is to start as artistic director of women’s haute couture, ready-to-wear and accessory collections. She is the first female artistic director of Dior in its 59-year history.
"It is a great honor to be joining the house of Dior," said Chiuri. "I measure the tremendous responsibility of being the first woman in charge of the creation in a house so deeply rooted in the pure expression of femininity. The endless wealth of its heritage continues to be a constant source of inspiration for fashion, and I cannot wait to express my own vision."
