Cheb Khaled reveals his song for Beirut

Elle s’appelle Beyrouth (Her name is Beirut), is going to be the name of Cheb Khaled’s new song for Beirut and people of Lebanon, as a way to express his solidarity with them, in collaboration with Lebanese DJ Rodge. The music video is also set to be released soon, under Elie Berbery’s direction.

Cheb Khaled recently posted a picture on his Instagram account to announce the release date of the song “Elle S’appelle Beyrouth” next Tuesday, August 18^th.

The composer Mohammad Yahya revealed his cooperation with Cheb Khaled through the dedicated song for Beirut, standing in solidarity with people Lebanon after the explosion in the city’s port last week, which left the capital and its people devastated. He confirmed that Cheb Khaled is singing voluntarily, as the proceeds of this song will be donated to the Lebanese Red Cross to support their efforts in providing relief.

The composer Mohammad Yahya said, in an interview with ET Bel Arabi, that he was asked to compose a song for Cheb Khaled, written by Ahmed Marzouk, who wants to dedicate it for Beirut. Cheb Khaled was admired by the music and his excitement made him write it and sing it in French as well. Within only 3 days the song was ready.
