H&M x Sandra Mansour postponed

After the apocalypse of Beirut following the massive explosion in August 4^th, 2020, Lebanese fashion houses and designers were affected among others, including Lebanese designer Sandra Mansour whose first collaboration with H&M has been postponed.  The Sandra Mansour x H&M collection was supposed to be available for online shopping on August 6, 2020.

However, H&M announced that the launch of its first collaboration with an Arab designer will be postponed to August 27, 2020.

“The inspiration for the H&M collaboration was nature and natural elements. Especially the sunflower, which represents the cycle of life, and its dependency on sun and light. Poetry and painters inspired the selection of fabric – the dark laces, jacquards, and embroidered organza. With the Fleur du Soleil collection, I want to talk to women around the world by sending a message of hope, something we really need right now,” says Sandra Mansour, the Lebanese designer, regarding her “Fleur du Soleil” collection with H&M “
