Rihanna Just Endorsed The Controversial Balenciaga Boots

This is Rihanna’s world, and we mortals are simply living in it. The mogul/entrepreneur/singer just proved once again that she is a real fashion icon, not afraid to go bold in her fashion choices, and succeeding in making an “ugly” shoe look fabulous and desirable.

Indeed, Rihanna was recently spotted in two of her best friend’s, Melissa Ford, Instagram posts, wearing the Balenciaga X Vibram FiveFingers boots.

In one of the posts, she paired the most controversial boots on the Internet right now with a yellow Sacai gilet, which could’ve also made it to the news, and black track pants from Vetements. In the second photo, she paired the Balenciaga X Vibram FiveFingers boots with an oversized coat and an ankle bracelet.

This it-shoe, seen on Balenciaga’s Fall/Winter 2020 runway last March, is considered "ugly" by some and "daring" by others, especially that the front of the boots comes with a rubber sole, is divided into five well-marked toes, and continues as a sock boot with a sporty trainer touch. However, no one ever dared to bring it to real life yet, but Rihanna did, and we are expecting other celebrities and influencers to follow really soon.

The 32-year old singer-turned-mogul is well-known for her love for accessories and that’s not the first time she proves that she is the ultimate trendsetter. We all remember how she was the first celebrity to support shoe designer Amina Muaddi, who became so famous that she recently launched a capsule collection with… Rihanna herself.
