Forever a synonym of elegance, tweed never goes out of style. From luxury houses to high-street brands, fashion can’t get enough of this iconic classic. For today’s look, we chose the tweed jacket, a timeless wardrobe piece which you can style in multiple ways. In case you didn’t know, the tweed suit was first designed for women by Coco Chanel in 1925, and the designer was originally inspired by a menswear design, as she saw her then-boyfriend the Duke of Westminster wear tweed jackets in Sutherland, in the north-west Highlands. In 1954, in response to the ultra-feminine designs of Christian Dior, Coco Chanel introduced the tweed jacket, feminine yet comfortable, saying, "Dior doesn't dress women, he upholsters them." This staple rapidly became iconic and timeless. In this look, we teamed it for you with a feminine white maxi dress, and a pair of knee-high sexy boots that will give an edgy touch to this elegant and chic look.
