Saudi Arabia has long been investing in the Kingdom’s talents on all levels and in all sectors, and the food sector is definitely one of them; the recent collaboration with the Global Network Of Hospitality Management And Culinary & Pastry Arts Schools Le Cordon Bleu International Institute is a great proof on that.
On Sunday June 27, The Saudi Culinary Arts Authority, one of 11 new authorities set up by the Ministry of Culture last year, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Le Cordon Bleu International Institute to establish an institute in Riyadh, providing advanced educational programs in the culinary and hospitality sector, using its brands, educational resources, and expertise.
Also, it will provide the opportunity for Saudi students to enroll in exchange programs at Cordon Bleu schools outside the Kingdom and for Cordon Bleu International students abroad to visit the institute in the Kingdom.
The Kingdom has brought the legendary cooking institute to the country, and yet it has some of the best female chefs. So are we waiting for some really “out-of-this-world- restaurant concepts and food?

Founder of Selection SA, a restaurant with a South American Fusion that opened recently in Saudi arabia, Nour Al Zaben is a real-time hero when it comes to food. The young woman is a professional cook who graduated from the prestigious Cordon Bleu culinary school in Paris, and she sh ortly became the brainchild behind the menus of hotspots across the Kingdom. Wed Saleh
Wed Saleh grew up learning from her mother, who was a great chef herself. The Riyadh chef worked her way up from training at Lenôtre and became the commis chef at Hyatt Regency Riyadh in 2016. She then worked at Fairmont to later become a Top Chef Middle East Season 3 contestant. From there, she worked with Lebanese celebrity chef Maroun Chedid at Ritage by Maroun Chedid.
Her Instagram is a taste of the original Saudi kitchen with the subtle use of international culinary techniques, perfecting the art of fusing flavors.
