The Devil Wears Prada Musical?

Yes girls, the movie of which all fashionistas memorized the script, The Devil Wears Prada, will be made into a musical… A dream come true for all the fashion girls! The project was revealed two years ago, and we finally have some news on its progress: it’s none other than Sir Elton John who will be writing the songs alongside Paul Rudnick who has produced plays all around the world for years.

"Reimagining The Devil Wears Prada for the musical theater is super exciting," said Elton John. "I'm a huge fan of both the book and the feature film and a huge aficionado of the fashion world. I can't wait to sink my musical teeth into this hunk of popular culture." We can’t wait either!

We loved Meryl Streep’s class mixed with a bit of sass in the 2006 movie The Devil Wears Prada, and we loved her even more in the 2008 musical Mamma Mia! Since the remake of The Devil Wears Prada will be made into a musical, she is perfect for the part, in fact, it’s made for her. Let’s hope they listen to our prayers and keep her as the evil Miranda Priestly.
