Johnny Depp Wins Libel Lawsuit against Ex-Wife Amber Heard

The seven-person Virginia jury ruled that the “Pirates of Caribbean” film star Johnny Depp was defamed by his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Following the defamation shared in an opinion column by Amber Heard, American actor Johnny Depp sued her $50 million. Both have been sharing testimony since the beginning of the trial on April 11th, 2022, and on June 1st, the jury has finally pronounced the judgement.

“False, very serious and criminal allegations were levied at me via the media, which triggered an endless barrage of hateful content,” declared Depp. The Virginia jury awarded him more than $10 million in damages, vindicating his stance that was invented by his hex-wife.

“Six years later, the jury gave me my life back. I am truly humbled,” spoke out the American actor after winning the legal battle against Amber Heard.

After her defeat in court, Amber released a statement declaring the following: “The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I’m heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence and sway of my ex-husband.”

Jurors ordered Johnny Depp to pay her ex-wife $2 million in damages. “I’m sad I lost this case, but I’m sadder still that I seem to have lost a right I thought I had as an American – to speak freely and truly.

In a letter shared on his social media, Johnny Depp mentioned that “the best is yet to come and a new chapter has finally begun.”
