What’s Cooking between Kanye West & Gap?
Meet the new Yeezy Gap Line

After struggling with sales drop caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the American retailer Gap is regaining its strength after teaming up with the star and billionaire Kanye West to create a new line for men, women and kids, which will be officially launched on Gap’s website in 2021.
This huge partnership is bringing the iconic American retailer Gap, whose parent company recorded a 1-billion-dollar loss in the second quarter of the pandemic, with the busiest fashionable man, in a 10-year deal. Forbes estimated that in 2019, Kanye was taking over $ 140 million in sales of Yeezy shoes, which was sold earlier by adidas. This makes his share equal to 1.4 billion dollars, according to Forbes.

Gap and West have been in touch for years. West had already expressed his hopes of collaborating with the retailer in 2015. However, negotiations between both parties didn’t happen before last year, and the deal was ongoing before the pandemic. Yeezy Gap must be a life saver for the American retailer, because it will gain high-level goods that can attract new customers or entice former clients to return. Yeezy will also get the benefits that Gap has given upstart brands, such as a platform and supply chain that can boost growth.
Kanye West has revealed the Yeezy Gap new logo on Twitter, which is a merging of both logos; Gap’s navy-blue box centered by Yeezy’s 3-letter logo YZY in white. The rapper commented: “Yeezy & Gap form partnership.”
