Dior Names First Woman Creative Director
Finally!
24-June-2016

The wait for a new creative director for Dior is finally over, and this position will be filled by a woman! We’ve never seen this in the brand’s 70 year history.
According to reports from Reuters, Valentino co-designer Maria Grazia Chiuri is the chosen one; she will officially replace Raf Simons - who departed from Dior in October 2015 - in July, following the couture shows.
Due to Simons' exit, Reuters revealed that sales at Dior have dropped, "going from double-digit to flat sales growth in the first quarter of this year." Hopefully, Chiuri will get the brand back on track.
