Fabergé is thrilled to present the Heritage Yellow Gold Diamond & Guilloché Enamel Bee Surprise Locket as a new addition to its Heritage line. The proceeds from the sale go towards supporting the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. This collection honors Fabergé's fascination with surprises, highlighting intricate traditional techniques like guilloché enameling and hand-engraving. For each item sold, a donation of $1,350 will be made to the Foundation. These funds support the Foundation's Forests and Communities Initiative (FCI), aiming to aid in the conservation of forest ecosystems through the involvement of indigenous peoples and local communities. The initiative also seeks to establish a network of experts providing a diverse range of skills.
The Heritage Yellow Gold Diamond & Guilloché Enamel Bee Surprise Locket is meticulously crafted from 18k Yellow Gold, adorned with peach-colored guilloché enamel, and features a hand-painted black and orange lacquer bee resting on a yellow agate stone base, detailed with honeycomb engraving. The egg locket's outer case is embellished with 15 round brilliant-cut white diamonds.

Fabergé's legacy includes crafting small animal figures from hardstone, referred to as the Fabergé menagerie. Historians describe these creations as having "psychologically interpretive aspects," possessing human-like qualities. Each subject's distinctive characteristics were emphasized, granting them unique personalities. Fabergé often combined hardstones with precious metals and colored gems, seamlessly integrating these elements to create miniature works of art, characteristic of Fabergé's style.
This exquisite creation is priced at £10,800/$13,500 and can be viewed on faberge.com.
