Giambattista Valli’s FW24-25 Haute Couture Collection is an example of the seamless fusion between cultural heritage and botanical inspiration. Inspired by his retreats to Jaipur, Valli showed the essence of well-being in this collection. He succeeded to capture the historical ties between civilizations and cultures, explaining how Florentine artists used to travel to work in Taj Mahl, during the renaissance era.
“It isn’t about India, rather about a sort of surreal conversation that for me is very real,” he explained backstage
The collection is a celebration of beauty's ability to heal. Inspired by the flower garlands found on Indian temples, Valli used flowers in several creations as they are the perfect object to capture the theme of the collection. Sculpting volumes, chiffon mousselines, flowers protruding from the décolleté and petals strewn between layers of georgette covered delicate tulle bustiers and corsets, giving the impression of flowers blown by the wind, were seen on the delicate, fragile silhouettes.
