For Fall-Winter 2025/2026, Basil Soda explores a refined interplay between structure and emotion, with Creative Director, Jad Soda, turning to Japanese culture for inspiration, both visually and philosophically. “There’s a duality in Japanese culture that speaks deeply to me: restraint and extravagance, strength and softness, tradition and innovation,” he explains. This balance mirrors both the principles of haute couture and the values passed down to him by his father.
The collection translates these contrasts into dresses that are both sculptural and fluid. Architectural corsetry echoes samurai armor, while airy, petal-like hems evoke the fleeting beauty of cherry blossoms. Delicate echoes of origami folds, the quiet harmony of Zen gardens, and the soulful elegance of wabi-sabi—the art of embracing imperfection— all whisper through every design.

A muted palette dominates the collection, allowing textures and structure to lead. Occasional surges of controlled color add intentional contrast, drawing the eye to movement and silhouette while maintaining overall harmony. This collection is a thoughtful fusion of serenity and strength, designed for a modern woman who values precision and presence.
