Carlo D’Amario, CEO of Vivienne Westwood, reflected on the significance of the moment. “This is the first time we are hosting a runway show in the Middle East, and we are delighted to have done it in Riyadh,” he said. He revealed that the house had unveiled a special collection of embroidered gowns born from the collaboration between Vivienne Westwood’s couture team and Saudi artisans. “It is a concrete way to promote local traditions through an international perspective. Today, fashion must go beyond aesthetics, it must be a connection between cultures. ‘Global-local’ is a key concept for us, and this show is a testament to that,” he added.

In collaboration with Art of Heritage, the cultural institution dedicated to preserving Saudi Arabia’s artisanal legacy, the runway spotlighted a capsule collection of gowns exclusively created for the event. Saudi craftswomen from the Art of Heritage program embroidered the pieces, which appeared alongside Vivienne Westwood’s Spring/Summer 2026 looks and select archival designs.
