At the Met Gala this year, the elegance of Chanel was beautifully embraced on the red carpet. In celebration of art in fashion, celebrities and friends of the house interpreted the theme through Chanel’s timeless couture and exquisite high jewelry creations.

Margot Robbie has been an ambassador for Chanel since 2018. For the Met, she wore a custom design by Matthieu Blazy—a golden draped lamé gown featuring a cascading trail of ruffles along the back, delicately embellished with feathers and floral petals. The intricate piece incorporated 1,080 embroidered elements and required 761 hours of craftsmanship.

Robbie completed her look with Chanel High Jewelry, including the Golden Sillage earrings in 18K white and yellow gold, set with diamonds, yellow sapphires, spessartite garnets, and two pear-cut yellow sapphires from the “N°5” collection. As one of the co-chairs of the Met Gala 2026, Nicole Kidman was undoubtedly among the most anticipated stars on the Met steps. She also chose a custom creation by Ch Matthieu Blazy—a deep red drop-waisted sequin gown adorned with feathered trim, serving as an ode to both love and New York City.

For her fourth appearance at the Met Gala, Jennie wore a custom Chanel dress adorned with 15,000 sequins crafted over 540 hours.
