For pre-fall 2026, Lebanese fashion label Yassmin Saleh turns its lens toward the everyday realities of womanhood with Everyday Forms, a campaign photographed by Luana Bassil and art directed by Léa Casini.

Rooted in the lived experiences of Lebanese women, the campaign begins with a deceptively simple question: What actually defines us as women?

The answer is rarely singular. A woman can be a mother, daughter, wife, professional, friend and individual, often navigating all of these identities simultaneously. Everyday Forms explores the expectations attached to each role and the constant negotiations that come with them: build a career, but make time for your family; be present as a mother, but remain social; pursue your ambitions, but know when to put them aside. Between the demands of family and society, where does a woman find space for herself?

The campaign also turns to the intimate aspects of motherhood, examining how even the most personal choices can become open to scrutiny. Breastfeeding, for instance, can bring a familiar set of questions and judgments: Is your milk enough? Are you eating enough? Why do you want to stop? Why are you doing it in public? Something as natural as feeding a child can become another experience women are asked to explain, defend or conceal.

Rather than presenting these identities as separate, Everyday Forms considers them as interconnected layers of the same woman. It also looks at the generations that came before, acknowledging how the sacrifices, expectations and choices of mothers and grandmothers inevitably become part of the stories we inherit.

Through a series of visual chapters, the campaign gradually expands from the personal to the collective, ultimately confronting one of Lebanon’s most enduring questions of identity and belonging: the country’s nationality law, which continues to prevent Lebanese women from passing their nationality on to their children.

What begins as an exploration of what defines a woman therefore becomes something larger—a reflection on motherhood, identity, belonging, choice and the systems that shape what is passed from one generation to the next.

The campaign features Nadine, her children and Coco, with photography by Luana Bassil, art direction by Léa Casini, hair by Wael Sallam, and makeup by Hawraa Al-Dakak and Sharbel Hasbany.
