Presented at the Jack Shainman Gallery, Ralph Lauren’s collection unofficially opened New York Fashion Week. Among all the Spring-Summer proposals, we’ll remember this impeccably tailored, masculine-inspired pantsuit paired with a wide tie.

It’s a nod to Ralph Lauren’s history, the self-made man from the Bronx who built his empire starting with a collection of wide ties. At the time, he explained that ties were one of the ways men could express themselves. We love seeing this idea reinterpreted for women.

Michael Kors Collection’s Intellectual-Chic Look

Michael Kors presented his Spring-Summer collection in the gardens of the MoMA, which was already a clue in itself. He drew inspiration from the women he sees wandering through art openings: discerning New Yorkers who come from everywhere, from Bushwick, New York’s street-art neighborhood, to Park Avenue.

The result is a collection of chic and sexy dresses, slit pencil skirts crossed with energizing color-blocking or arty black-and-white stripes, highly designed bags and shoes, and jewelry with modernist accents. Altogether, it takes us into an undeniably stylish and inspiring intellectual world.

The Return of Proenza Schouler’s Iconic PS1

A little trip back in time: in 2008, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, the duo behind Proenza Schouler, launched the PS1, a chic and functional satchel inspired by New York’s Public School System.

The bag became a hit and a luxury icon among New York’s cool kids. Now it is back on the label’s Spring-Summer runway, under the creative direction of designer Rachel Scott, while Jack and Lazaro have taken the creative reins at Loewe.

The PS1 has been renamed the Walker, paying tribute to the brand’s original studio on Walker Street. It was designed in collaboration with Reed Krakoff, formerly of Coach and now accessories director at Gap. The PS1 Walker is softer and rounder than its predecessor, while remaining just as luxurious and practical. 

Tory Burch’s Intriguing Cardigan

The American designer likes to blur the lines. At first glance, her colorful cardigan embroidered with petals, seemingly straight out of the 1950s, appears sweetly elegant.

But on closer inspection, it seems far less innocent than it first appears: slightly cropped, with rolled-up sleeves and wrinkled button tabs as though it had been hastily fastened.

Tory Burch also creates unexpected color clashes, pairing green and mauve with a turquoise-blue pencil skirt, while adorning these ladies’ necks with three-strand necklaces that make no attempt at discretion.

Carolyn Bessette’s Entire Wardrobe at Calvin Klein

Launched in mid-February 2026 on Disney+, the anthology series Love Story, dedicated to the story of the couple formed by John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, has had a side effect: boosting Google searches for Calvin Klein.

The long, blonde-haired fashion icon was Calvin Klein’s PR director. Carolyn Bessette’s ’90s style has become firmly rooted in our collective imagination, evolving into a full-blown fascination and, in 2026, even an obsession.

So when Veronica Leoni, creative director of Calvin Klein Collection, sent all her iconic looks down the runway—from high-waisted jeans to a simple blazer, a pencil skirt, a fitted shirt, black trousers, the perfect white T-shirt and a headband worn with slicked-back hair—we could only applaud enthusiastically.

Nearly four decades later, Tommy Hilfiger remains one of America’s emblematic designers, and his preppy formula is still going strong.

Rugby polos, sailing jackets, blazers, checked shirts, bucket hats, caps, penny loafers… On the runway for his Spring-Summer 2027 collection, it is clear that his cool-chic classics have not aged a day. His vintage pieces are also proving hugely popular on second-hand platforms.

As for his energetic color palette and revisited, modernized Ivy League aesthetic, they still make us want to embrace a little piece of America.

Kaia Gerber’s Messy-Sexy Look at Khaite

Kaia Gerber, also known as Susan Reynolds in Ryan Murphy and Bret Easton Ellis’s series, who made a sensational entrance on the Khaite runway as the collection’s opening look.

Long, tousled hair, a black leather skirt open at the back and a white bra… Sensual and slightly undone, the model and rising Hollywood star is simply sublime in the role of the messy girl, one of TikTok’s current fashion obsessions that embraces letting go and accepting oneself.

This natural and liberated femininity is difficult to imitate when you’re not Kaia Gerber. But after all, we can simply admire this image of beauty without overthinking it.
