Saturday night wasn’t a regular one in Egypt. A procession of 22 mummies made its way through Cairo on Saturday during the highly anticipated Pharaoh’s Golden Parade, which occurred on the third of April. In total, 22 royal mummies and 17 royal coffins that date back to the 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th Dynasties, emerged from their resting places and were paraded throughout the streets of Cairo in a majestic celebration.
The parade kicked off at the Egyptian museum in Tahrir to its final destination in the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, arriving two hours later.
