Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer : More Than Just “Friends”?

Since the special episode of Friends aired, Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer have reportedly been spending a lot of time together. A candlelit dinner, a stroll among the vines and endless discussions ... would Ross and Rachel really be a couple?

What if, 20 years after the Friends series ended, the “Ross and Rachel” couple finally became a reality? Since the famous “Friends” reunion which aired on May 27, some rumors about a possible romantic relationship between Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer have come to life.

While the two actors had admitted having feelings for each other while filming the series, their relationship had not changed. Until this summer. On Tuesday August 10, the English magazine “Closer” revealed that Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer might be more than just friends.

A source said that after the reunion, they stayed in touch: "It became obvious that the fact of remembering the past awakened feelings for both, and that the chemistry they had, but always had a hard time concealing it, was still there”.

The two actors have also seen each other on several occasions: The one where Ross doesn’t hesitate to cross the country to see his Rachel. “They spent time at Jen's, where she cooked evening meals, and had a good time together, chatting and laughing. They have also been spotted drinking wine and having a conversation as they stroll through one of Jen's favorite wineries in Santa Barbara”. The source adds.

But the news was shortly denied, as hours after Closer's article aired, a spokesperson for David Schwimmer reportedly said there was "no truth" to the romance, The Sun explains.

 

"We both fell for each other"

 

If there is one trigger to this story, it is this famous sentence during the reunion. Host James Corden had said it was "inconceivable" that there weren't any off-screen romances while filming the series. To which David Schwimmer replied, "I had a big crush on Jen." "It was mutual," replied his co-star. The 54-year-old actor explained that they “both fell for each other, but it was like two boats crossing each other. One of us was still in a relationship and we never crossed that line”.

Their characters being a couple in the series, Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer then decided to channel this love into their own roles. “I remember once saying to David, 'It would be such a shame if the first time you and I kissed was on national television.' And that’s what happened, ”the actress explains. But the memories of the past do not seem sufficient to revive these feelings.
