Following several delays caused by the worldwide pandemic, Elvis is finally coming to theaters on June 24, 2022.
After his announcement of his Elvis Presley biopic in 2014, the Australian film director Baz Luhurmann will be releasing the long-awaited movie at the end of this month. The biographical musical drama film was premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival; many famous faces attended this event showing their love to the American popular singer.
30-year-old Austin Butler was lucky enough to star the highly-anticipated film. In his precious work, Luhurmann wanted to highlight the life and music of the King of Rock and Roll, along with the story of his relationship with his longtime manager Colonel Tom Parker.
Portraying Elvis Presley was definitely not that easy. The movie’s lead actor has to really work on his life in order to give his best. Austin declared that he was also committed to the musical aspect of the film, “I wanted to get my voice to sound identical to Elvis’s.”
We’re all impatient to discover what Luhurmann has prepared for us in his much-anticipated masterpiece.
