This September 19, Westminster Abbey has seen a succession of queens and princesses in mourning for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
They all responded present, this Monday, September 19 for the funeral of Elizabeth II. The royal family of England, the heads of state, along with the crowned heads of Europe and the world ... All were gathered at Westminster Abbey to pay their last respects to the Queen of England. Among these distinguished guests, many sovereigns: Charlene of Monaco, Rania of Jordan, Letizia of Spain ... To attend this historic ceremony, none of them has deviated from the black; however, each has delivered a personal interpretation of the mourning dress.
During this state funeral, Charlene of Monaco and Letizia of Spain both appeared in long dresses. The first, in a monastic wallet version, the second, accessorized with a belt. Rania of Jordan opted for a belted coat with a ruffled collar, as did Maxima of the Netherlands, who wore a more minimalist version of the overcoat. All of them wore a hat and a veil, in accordance with the aristocratic tradition of the veil. A rule also observed by Brigitte Macron. A funeral parade that will make history.
