What is Face Yoga?

Face yoga is a workout for your facial and neck muscles. Did you know that you have over 50 muscles in this area alone? By using the basic principles of exercise: contracting, releasing and creating resistance, you will activate all the dormant muscles.

 

What are the benefits?

How effective face yoga is comparing to anti-aging skincare products?

As we age, the continuous force of gravity causes our facial muscles to gradually sag, while we’re losing fat pads and our skin thins out. Face Yoga targets the muscles under the skin by working them out to reverse the effect of gravity. Once our muscles are activated and toned, they will lift up the skin along with them and reduce the effects of aging. Anti-aging skincare products are essential as they provide the skin with all the nutrients and proteins needed.

In my opinion, both work hand in hand; you need exercise and good skin care to have a youthful looking face.

 

Is Face Yoga an alternative for skincare products or complementary therapy?

 Improved blood flow and circulation, caused by Face Yoga exercises, is crucial for better product penetration. In other words, Face Yoga practice along with the beneficial properties of skincare products work optimally together.

 

Does it Work for Everyone?

We all have muscles in our face regardless of one’s age, so yes Face Yoga is for everyone (men, women, young and the elderly).

When you are young and don’t have any wrinkles on your face, Face Yoga works as a prevention process.

However, if you already have wrinkles then Face Yoga helps make them less prominent, while preventing the formation of new wrinkles in the future.

 

Is it safe for women who have fillers or botox injections to do face yoga?

Yes, Face Yoga is safe for people who have injected botox and fillers into their face.

If they inject botox, they will have to wait for a few weeks before they regain feeling in the paralyzed muscles once again. In the meantime, they can work on the muscles they haven’t injected the botulinum toxins into.

Fillers are different than botox because people are able to feel the muscles underneath the filled skin after a much shorter period of time. With both cases, once feeling in the muscles is regained, they will be able to start Face Yoga right away.

 

At what age we should start practicing face yoga?

You can start Face Yoga at any age, preferably before you start noticing the first signs of aging at around 25.

 

Is it too late for those who have already face wrinkles?

It is never too late for those who already have face wrinkles; however, we have to keep in mind that Face Yoga is a 100% natural self-practice. It requires patience and dedication and is not a quick remedy to erase wrinkles.

 

How often should we do face yoga to start seeing results?

With face exercise, less is more, since we are working on very tiny muscles compared to the rest of our body. The way I practice is 10 minutes daily, along with one weekly session of 30 minutes. Also, the best part is that you have your face with you at all times, so you can basically practice everywhere; in the car, kitchen, bedroom etc…, what more do you need!
