The first Saudi soprano to perform in a digital concert

The first Saudi Arabian soprano singer, Sawsan Al-Bahiti, will be performing a digital opera concert organized by the Saudi British Society, today, Thursday, August 13th, 2020, at 6:00 pm.
For the concert, the first female Saudi soprano will perform a selection of classical melodies and songs in order to strengthen the bond between Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.
Sawsan Al-Bahiti announced her upcoming digital concert on her Instagram account, where she expressed her happiness and excitement for this concert, insisting that it will be a wonderful operatic evening as she’s performing beautiful arias, some will be performed for the 1st time. Also, Sawsan invited everyone to join this evening.
On a side note, Sawsan Al-Bahiti took off in her musical journey in opera in 2008, as she became the first Saudi Arabian soprano. She became famous after performing the Saudi national anthem in an operatic style at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh during the Italian opera “La Scala”.
