Aquarel Studio, a new name to keep in your mind the next time you’re looking for outfits that beautifully gather every contradiction out there. Bold but simple, minimalist but sophisticated, fierce but classic are some of Aquarel Studio’s DNA codes.
Despite all the hardships Lebanon is going through, Soraya’s creativity and Cindy’s passion were bigger than anything else. The two women launched their ready-to-wear high-end label, with a huge desire to support local Lebanese craftsmanship.
The two designers magically combined the love of art and architecture with the design techniques and merging crafts resulting in a statement and structured pieces. With every piece of the collection meticulously designed, and carrying unique stories from various sources of inspirations, they looked to empower women and enable them to embrace their true essence.
“We look at the woman’s body like a canvas for expression and each collection of ours, is and will be inspired by topics that surround every woman’s personal emotions, character and identity” Said Soraya Hachem and Cindy Charafeddine.
Fabrics are essential and sustainability is at the core of their vision, especially that their goal is to reduce fashion waste by producing unique and personalized pieces on demand.
For their first collection “Coloressence” for SS20, a palette of various colors in pure silk was developed as particular “Essences” to be worn.
The duo chose to name their Fall Winter 2020/21 collection “Luminessence”, a “unique synergy of colors and light” that emerges as a declaration of hope and liberation in light of the current state of events: “we will all rise again as light pillars.”
