Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey was certainly one of the most anticipated interviews of the year. Meghan, who is expecting a baby girl, appeared with eyes outlined in black eyeliner, in a very dramatic effect, in a subtle nod to Lady Diana’s famous interview in 1995.

When the first images of the exclusive interview were revealed, everything was scrutinized: her Giorgio Armani dress, her baby bump (we now know that she is expecting a little girl) and her diamond bracelet inherited from Lady Diana. But that's not the only nod the Duchess of Sussex made to her late mother in law, thus she opted for a distinctive beauty look with a bold black eyeliner. A very dramatic effect which had also been the make-up option chosen by Diana during her interview in 1995 with Martin Bashir for the BBC.

In the shock interview, the Princess of Hearts lifted the veil on the secrets of her failed marriage to Prince Charles. The interview sealed the separation of the couple.
