Prince William confessed his terrible choice of gift, including the worst gift to Kate, during a BBC podcast, That Peter Crouch Podcast, "I got my wife a pair of binoculars once," he admitted.

"She's never going to let me forget that. That was early on in our courtship... I think that sealed the deal really, she fell for me at that point," he joked.

"I think I was convincing myself about it, 'but yeah these are really amazing, look how far your can see', and she was looking at me going 'they're binoculars, what's going on?'”

“It didn’t go well. Honestly, I have no idea why I bought her a pair of binoculars,” added Duke of Cambridge.
